The calibration and certification of electricity
meters are important functions, which are
generally carried out by the electricity supply
companies, electricity boards and energy meter
manufacturers.
Due to the semiautomatic nature of the test, it
is economical and capital investment is less and
more suitable for Indian Conditions.
The test bench is easy to operate and as a
precise result is obtained at the same time,
cost for testing is reduced.
Test bench can be used to test Ferrari Meters
and electronic KWH Meters.
Single Phase Meter Test
Bench
Gyro's single phase kWh Meter Test Benches
developed by GYRO Laboratories provide a high
degree of operational convenience to carry out
calibration checks or performance tests of
electricity meters as per Indian Standard
Specification, using a rotating sub-standard,
reference standard or wattmeter.
These test benches are designed to operate on 3
phase 400/440 V-50 Hz power supply and have the
capacity to accommodate and provide current for
simultaneous testing of ten meters with a rating
upto 8 amps maximum. The test voltage can be
adjusted to any value upto 300 volts. The power
factor can also be varied from unity and go
degree lag or lead.
Primary
Injection Test Set
Features:-
Gyro’s Primary Injection Test Set is a versatile
compact apparatus designed to give standard
output current upto 1000 Amps from an input of
230 Volts AC. Test Sets to suit any other input
voltage or with higher output can be catered for
by order. This wide range of variation in output
is obtained with smooth regulation and least
wave form distortion. By using the Primary
Injection Test Set, functional checks involving
high currents can be carried out at low cost and
with inherent safety requiring minimum
precautions.
Application:- It
has wide field of applications in testing supply
net work, high current circuits and phantom
loading.
Testing by primary injection technique offers
the unique advantage of complete system
check-out in a supply network for feeder fault,
C.T. connections, protective relay function etc.
and testing of low impedence, high current
circuits, using the test set as a phantom
loading unit.
