The parts of the line traps are the main coil,
tuning unit, lightning arrester and optional
accessories like suspension, hardware, pedestal,
connectors and appropriate type of insulators.
Application :-
High voltage lines are also used for
transmission of various high frequency signals
for control , protection, communication and data
transmission. Line Traps are essential
components for such applications. They are
inserted in the H.V.Network as series connected
elements at every transmission and receiving
substation. Line Traps are designed to withstand
both the maximum continuous system current and
the short circuit current, which can occur at
the location.
